The Chapter structure provides local direction and control over decisions and resources to provide networking, professional development and focused member services for the benefit of members within the Chapter boundary. In turn, NAHMMA provides support to the Chapters including:

- individual Chapter website and tools including:
- automated voting,
- custom e-mail lists,
- survey tools,
- Chapter website maintenance guide,
- announcements,
- document storage/downloading, etc.
- monthly Chapters Commitee conference calls that facilitate:
- coordination for issues & programs of concern to Chapters,
- direct access to the NAHMMA Board & Exectutive Committee, and
- representative to the NAHMMA Policy Committee
NAHMMA Chapters support their members in various ways which can include:
- announcement of professional development events and opportunities,
- policy development and analysis at local, state, and national levels,
- technical issues forum,
- sponsoring professional development and strategic planning meetings and seminars,
- coordinated regulatory interpretation between agencies,
- coordination of purchasing practices,
- statewide/regional conferences and training classes,
- host the national conference with revenue sharing, and
- other functions that support and enhance our profession.
NAHMMA Chapters are designed to provide communication and access to resources, talents, and ideas from sister Chapters and the national organization to support the professionals in the Chapter area. If you would like to know more about your local Chapter, please visit your Chapter webpage (click on the right menu bar). If you are interested in forming a Chapter in your region please review the three documents below and contact the NAHMMA Chapters Committee Chair. A list of Chapters is contained in the table below.
